It doesn?t require treatment and will still have an expected lifespan of 25 years without it. If left to age naturally, it?ll slowly turn a beautiful silvery-grey colour. The Colour Protector will keep it close to Roble?s original colour and add a soft gloss. Another option to enhance the natural appearance of Roble is to use our Timber Treatment followed by the Sealer; this will give the wood a darker and richer appearance. Black spotting can occur through tannic acid which is present in the timber or by natural airborne spores. Should this happen to your furniture which is not unusual, it will not affect the strength or durability of the wood. This can easily be removed by applying a mould remover such as Dettol or Cillit Bang. Cushions are made from 100% Olefin. These can be cleaned using warm soapy water and a cloth.
